The course is designed in a modular format with an emphasis on interactive sessions, exercises and a discussions. The aim of this programme is to give an exposure to in service faculty preferably Lecturers/Assistant Professors in Social Science disciplines to the latest advances in their subjects, technological spin-off, etc. and/or to enhance their general methodological and writing skills
ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION OF THE PARTICIPANTS
Under the CBP, the participants should be a Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in a UGC recognized Indian university/deemed university/ College/institutes of national importance and ICSSR Research Institutes and their application should be duly forwarded by the parent institution. Eligible candidate will have to apply in the prescribed application form. Only completely filled forms, duly signed by competent authorities will be accepted. Participants will be selected on the basis of their work-research experience and participation in CBP’s. (Only 20 participants will be shortlisted as per Guideline and Sanctioned)
COVERAGE
Broadly, the course intends to deal with a variety of analytical research methods used in social sciences and allied studies, with particular emphasis on the implementation of these methods. Topics to be covered include:
- Idea of Research– Types and Basic tenets of qualitative and quantitative research
- Introduction to Quantitative and Qualitative Methods for Social Science Research
- Methods and Tools for Defining and Collecting Data in Social Science Research
- Basic Statistics- Statistical inquiries
- Process to Generate Samples- Probability and Non-Probability Sampling
- Data Analysis: Qualitative and Quantitative Research introduction to Inference
- Analytics of Hypotheses Testing
- Advanced quantitative Research data Analysis techniques through SPSS
- Mechanics of Writing a Research Report and Book
- Writing a research paper, publication in reputed journals and the roads ahead
- Plagiarism- the truth and myths about research writing
- Challenges in academic writing
- The elements and structure of research writing
- Publication Process and Library (E-Library)
- Clinical sessions, discussion forum and evaluation tests
- Applications must be forwarded through proper channel.
- Participants are required to bring their laptop for practical sessions

Interested candidates may download the prescribed Registration Form link given at the end of the brochure, fill up registration form and send a hard copy on correspondence address. Also, a duly filled soft copy of the registration form and required documents must be sent through email at education@sauuni.ac.in on or before 25th Sept., 2022.

1. Brief CV of the applicant and xerox copy of the supporting documents.
2. A brief note about your research in about 250 words.
3. Caste Certificate for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority participants.
4. Recommendation letter from the Forwarding Authority
5. Full Covid-19 vaccination certificate
REGISTRATION FEE
There is No Registration Fee for the Course, but selected participants will have to deposit Rs. 500/- as earnest money to be sent by D.D. in favour of ‘Course Director, Department of Education, Saurashtra University, Rajkot’, Payable at Rajkot on the first day of course. The purpose of the deposited amount is Admission confirmation. This amount will be refunded to the participants after full attendance on last day of the course.
ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL ALLOWANCES
Accommodation will be provided to the outstation Participants only. Travel allowance by the shortest distance (to and fro) will be reimbursed to the outstation participants as per the ICSSR guideline
CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION
The participants will be provided certificates on successful completion of the course. It is mandatory for all participants to attend all the sessions.
NOTE
COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Relevant COVID Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines set by the Government of Gujarat and Saurashtra University, Rajkot will be followed. Submission of a full vaccination certificate along with an application form is mandatory in order to protect health and safety of other participants.
