Dear Sarayu River, .
I write to you today with a heart full of respect and gratitude, for you are not only a river but a lifeline, a source of history, spirituality and nourishment for all who live along your banks The impact is there, and I have seen it for myself property held from ancient times to the present.
Rivers have a special place of reverence and reverence in the rich fabric of Indian culture and tradition. From the pages of the Rig Veda to the hymns of Hindu devotees, rivers are celebrated as mothers, life-givers and nourishers. The river Saryu, which has a deep-rooted connection with the epic story of the Ramayana and the birthplace of Lord Rama, stands as a testament to the sacred bond between man and nature, between faith and belief.
In the modern era, however, we are facing a harsh reality: our rivers are under threat. Pollution, neglect and unsustainable practices have polluted their once pristine water. As a student of history and geography, I am well aware of the importance of preserving our natural resources for future generations. The Saryu River, with its historical significance and vital role in our lives, must be protected at all costs.
I am happy to see the efforts being made by the Government of India through initiatives like the Ganga Action Plan to restore the cleanliness and vitality of our rivers. People from all walks of life are coming together in solidarity to save our rivers, organizing cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns and sustainable practices to protect these precious resources wall.
As I stand on your banks, dear river Saryu, I am filled with a sense of duty and responsibility to ensure that your waters continue to flow and be clean and pure for all beings The theme of "water for all" resonates deeply with me , for water is not only a resource but a fundamental right of all living things
Let us join hands in this noble task, dear river Saryu, and work together to preserve your beauty and purity for all who depend on you. May that water remain pure and abundant, and may your descendants live forever.
with love and respect
