IITM Pravartak has launched a free online course with certificate titled "Out of the Box Thinking Through Mathematics," aimed at nurturing problem-solving skills in students.

About the Course:
Logic underpins the study of mathematics, making it essential for developing broader thinking skills applicable in our expanding technological world. From solving a fun sudoku puzzle to completing a complex project, logical thinking often outweighs mere arithmetic. This requires creative thinking and a broader perception, often known as out-of-the-box thinking. This course emphasizes such thinking by rediscovering mathematical facts, both known and unknown, through logical and creative approaches.

For Whom:
These courses are accessible to a wide audience, from schoolchildren to professionals and researchers. The four graded independent levels present multiple approaches to problem-solving, debunking the myth that it is only for the elite. The course introduces new techniques in an easy-to-understand fashion, preparing users to face real-life projects with confidence and ease.

Instructor:
Shri Sadagopan Rajesh, a passionate Mathematics Educator with over 30 years of teaching experience, instructs the course. He has taught a wide range of students, from schoolchildren to college students, motivating them with creative and well-designed courses. As the founder-director of Aryabhatta Institute of Mathematical Sciences since 1997, he has conducted nurturing programs for students, leading many to excel in Mathematical Olympiads and pursue careers in mathematics. He has also served as a resource person for several Mathematical Olympiad camps and teacher orientation programs.

Course Structure:
The program comprises four unique courses, each tailored to distinct educational levels:

• Level 1: For Class 5 and above, with a 20-hour lecture duration.
• Level 2: For Class 7 and above, with a 20-hour lecture duration.
• Level 3: For Class 9 and above, with a 30-hour lecture duration.
• Level 4: For Class 11 and above, with a 30-hour lecture duration.

Each level requires 10 weeks to complete and includes recorded lectures, biweekly assignments, and periodic assessments to ensure a thorough understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

Pre-Requisite:
A basic understanding of mathematical concepts and a mindset ready for learning non-routine problem-solving skills.
