Online National Faculty Development Program on Deconstructing Folklore with Haimanti Bagchi [Online; With Certificate]: Register by July 29

Gokul Global University, in collaboration with Nucleus of Learning and Development, is organizing an Online National Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Deconstructing Folklore." The FDP aims to explore and revive the rich folklore heritage of India through a series of insightful sessions. The program will be conducted from 29 July to 3 August 2024, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM daily.

Their goal is to reach maximum academicians through the tool of online faculty development programs and thus, helping the faculties to make the teaching-learning process more fruitful. NLD also aspires to spread knowledge in student fraternity in near future; however, faculty development program would remain central.

About the Program

This FDP focuses on the folklore, myths, and motifs of India, highlighting their relevance in contemporary times. The sessions aim to raise awareness and critically approach the rich intangible cultural heritage, addressing the risk of extinction faced by many folklore narratives. The program will cover various topics, including Indian heritage, ecocentrism in folk narratives, representation of queer in folk cults, decolonizing folk narratives, tribal art representations, and the preservation of indigenous culture.
